The beginning

Our story

It started with a message. “Our parents talked. Can we just have a conversation about what we like, and what we don’t?” What followed was never a pitch. We were simply two people trying to become friends, and quietly discovering that everything matched. Four-hour calls began to breeze past, becoming the golden hours we waited for all day. Three thousand miles sat between us, coast to coast, yet when he finally landed and they saw each other, both their hearts pounded: this was real now. And in that first meeting, all the nerves melted away in an instant. It felt less like a first date and more like coming home.

From there it only grew. Held up by the people we love, we learned to weather life’s highs and lows together, and slowly, we melded into each other. The question changed from “Is there anything we haven’t talked about?” to “Why is this so easy?” There was no catch. She calls him her winning trophy; he calls her his force of life. And so, from two families into one, our story continues, and we’re so glad you’re here to celebrate it with us.
